I used a T40 at work and absolutely loved it. Though there are some instances where a mouse is better, the trackpoint is an excellent tool for people who like to get more things done by the keyboard. I use the keyboard to launch applications and navigate through webpages so not having to move my hand back and forth between the touchpad and the keyboard is a real incentive to use the trackpoint. I love the trackpad! I used a T40 at work and absolutely loved it. I don't know what Apple has against Trackpoints. I do know some manufacturers like Dell made laptops with inferior Trackpoints.
